This is what you can expect when registering your new vehicle:
· If you bought a new car with a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin or a used car with a paper title, nothing has changed. Bring your documents to a licensed operator (tag agent) within two months to pay your taxes, transfer the title to you, and complete registration
· If your vehicle has an electronic title, the dealership will give you an Electronic Title Bill of Sale. Bring it, along with your other registration documents, to a licensed operator within two months to pay your taxes, transfer the title to you, and complete registration.
To sell a vehicle with an electronic title, the customer will utilize our Bill of Sale of an Electronic Title . This document will take the place of the Oklahoma title and can be downloaded from the Service Oklahoma website to print, fill out and notarize. If the vehicle is a 2011 year or newer, a Federal Odometer Statement will be required in conjunction with the Bill of Sale of an Electronic Title.
